We had a busy week in May with lots of activities taking place.

Our Active Schools Week took place from Monday 22nd May to Friday 26th May.
On Monday, each class participated in a soccer skill session, with Denis Hynes, FAI coach.
On Tuesday, each class was introduced to our Active School Walkway. Each class also did an Irish dancing class with Ms. Cunningham.
On Wednesday, each class did athletics sessions with Paul Dunne and GAA sessions with Cian O'Dea.
On Thursday, we had our Sports Day in the Deanery. We had a pupils vs. teachers' penalty shootout. Many parents came along to watch the fun unfold in the Deanery.
On Friday, each class had a GAA skills session with Mr. Cahill and 1st - 6th class went swimming. Infants also played fun games in the yard.
Our annual 5KM Fun Run / Walk took place at 11.00 on Sunday 28th May. It was a great conclusion to a fabulous week and the weather was beautiful throughout also.
We will have a visit from an Active School coordinator on Wednesday 23rd June. Again, I would like to thank Mrs. Scanlan and the active school committee for their hard work throughout the year in pursuit of our Active School Flag. We are nearly there!
