5th and 6th class have completed their Heritage Keepers workshops. This is a free programme for primary schools, youth groups or communities that will enable them to work together to explore the built, natural, and cultural heritage of their local place and then plan an action or actions to enhance their place. The children are very much enjoying learning about the locality. We have recently gone on a field trip to the Michael Cusack Centre and explored the Burren. The children are also in the process of publishing a magazine about Kilfenora. They are interviewing locals with interesting stories to tell.
